Toys for Tickets collects 454 toys
December 10, 2019 -
This year's Toys for Tickets program collected 454 toys representing more than $6,500 in parking fines waived by the City of Kingston.
"We had another excellent turnout this year. It's great to see so many residents taking time out of their day to turn a parking ticket into a gift for a child," says Brad Frink, Supervisor, Parking Enforcement.
During the program, which ran from Nov. 1 to Dec. 6, parking ticket holders had the option to pay their tickets with a new, unwrapped toy of equal or greater than the amount of the fine.
The 454 toys will be distributed to children in the Kingston community over the holidays through a local charity.
