The new Kingston Zoning Bylaw (2022-62) is in effect, and our website and map applications are being updated to reflect these changes. While this process is underway some old information may still be posted.

New Kingston Zoning Bylaw (2022-62)

City Council enacted the new Kingston Zoning Bylaw (2022-62) on April 26, 2022. This Bylaw regulates the use of lands and the size and location of buildings for almost all properties in the City of Kingston (all properties except those identified as “Not Subject to this Bylaw”).

Former Zoning Bylaws

The former zoning bylaws have been repealed in their entirety, except as they apply to the properties that are shown as “Not Subject to this Bylaw” in the new Kingston Zoning Bylaw. 

The only properties that are subject to the former zoning bylaws are those that are shown as “Not Subject to this Bylaw” in Kingston Zoning Bylaw.
