The City promotes walking as an active, environmentally-friendly and economical form of transportation. It's also a great way to enjoy the beauty of Kingston. Along with local partners, such as Kingston Coalition for Active Transportation and Kingston Transit, the City is working to make walking an attractive alternative to driving in Kingston.

The City is making walking a more attractive alternative to driving by installing new infrastructure, maintaining and upgrading existing infrastructure, and developing education and outreach programs, especially in school zones and the surrounding areas.
