Description:

Charles Gao is an illustrator and dancer. He regularly teaches classes at the Kingston School of Dance, Upper Canada Academy of the Performing Arts, and has publicly demonstrated breaking (also known as breakdancing) for initiatives like the Kingston Youth Strategy. Charles has taught workshops at Module Vanier, Truedell Public School, Rideau Height Public School and LCVI, and was involved with the Urban Dance Project to inspire at-risk youth.

Charles teaches workshops for varying levels of difficulty, adjusting to his participant needs through fluid choreography and a wide variety of music. He delivers breaking techniques with emphasis on the expression and confidence-building of each step and trick, using physical strength and mastery as a means to greater focus, community connection, and team-building.

Charles prefers to work with Middle and High school students, as well as Adults.
