Alison Gowan is a dedicated artist and educator with experience in puppetry, theatre music, and circus arts. Alison received of Bachelor of Music from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Education with a focus in Artist in the Community Education also from Queen's University. She has experience teaching the arts formally as a classroom teacher and as a visiting artist. Alison has extensive experience in providing music and dance workshops local communities. Some of these experiences include Luminous Clouded Titan (an original shadow puppet production through Birdbone theatre and in collaboration with Grade 7-8 students at First Avenue Public school), working as an artist in residence at Queen's Faculty of education, working as a Kindermusik educator, and providing music and dance workshops in the LDSB and ALCDSB.

Alison is a dedicated teaching artist, who conducts numerous music and dance workshops. In her workshops, Alison enjoys introducing young people to rare instruments and the musical traditions they emerge from, organizing movement and music experiences from a variety of different cultures, and exploring soundscapes and the potentials of choral creation.

Alison enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities.
