Description:

Christina has been a visual artist for forty years, working in gouache, watercolour and acrylic. She is a retired teacher, who worked for the Upper Canada District School Board for twenty-three years at the Primary and Intermediate Levels. During this time she taught as a regular classroom teacher and also as an art specialist; delivering art lessons to a wide range of age groups. She has also planned and delivered Visual Arts workshops to teachers as part of the Boards' Summer Institute and acted as an Art Therapist, working with students with severe emotional issues.

Christina is interested in providing workshops in the mediums of printmaking, watercolour, acrylic, pencil, pen and ink, coloured pencil, pastel and charcoal. Skills taught could include basic watercolour techniques, photographic transfers, pastel blending techniques, colour theory, basic pencil strokes, basic acrylic techniques and mono printing. A variety of subject matters could be used to give the students a chance to express themselves on a number of topics.

Christina prefers working with students in elementary, middle and high school, as well as adults and seniors.
