The City allows properties within the Downtown Business Improvement Area (see map) to opt in or out of City garbage collection. This special collection area also includes businesses on Princess Street south of the Princess Street and Concession Street/Bath Road intersection.

• Apply for City collection using the form. Property owners must fill out this application as all fees are applied to tax bills.
• Fee: A fee of $303.37 per business at the requested property will be charged on the final property tax bill of the property.
• Limits: The fee provides a garbage disposal limit of six bags per business listed under Part B. Any number of bags over this limit will require City of Kingston bag tags. See more information on City bag tags and how to set out your garbage.
