Emergency Services
Emergency Services
The City and/or KFL&A Public Health have plans to help or advise residents dealing with foreseeable emergencies. Being prepared for any major emergency is as simple as planning ahead. The first step in preparedness is to understand Kingston's major risks and hazards.
City of Kingston Emergency Plan
The City's Emergency Plan is one component of the emergency management program. In the event of an emergency situation, the plan assigns responsibilities and guides the actions of key officials.
Personal/family/household emergency preparedness
Make sure everyone in your family knows what to do before, during and after an emergency. Prepare your household so that you can shelter-in-place for at least 72 hours in the event of an emergency. Prepare a go bag for every member of your family to be prepared to evacuate in the event of an emergency. Prepare a household evacuation plan and practice it with your family.
