About the Project

Aimed at encouraging walking and rolling, the City has completed a 1.7 km asphalt bikeway and multiuse pathway along Bath Road from Collins Bay to Coverdale. It connects the Waterfront Trail and the Provincial Cycling Network to enhance the commuter and recreational experience.

This project is supported by $268,500 in funds from the Government of Ontario through the Ontario Municipal Cycling Infrastructure Program.

The City of Kingston's 2015-2018 Strategic Plan identifies creating cycling and pathway infrastructure as a transportation initiative under its Infrastructure priority. The Bath Road Bikeway is one of the efforts underway to address that initiative.

See the City's cycling page for a map showing Kingston's bikeways.
