Kingston Heritage Programs Committee
The mandate and activities of the Kingston Heritage Programs Committee will address the broad array of issues, opportunities and projects related to Kingston’s cultural heritage. They will lead by example in terms of responsible stewardship of associated cultural heritage resources. It is the responsibility of the Committee to apply its knowledge and expertise with a focus on:
- the programming and operations of the City museums
- City Hall as a National Historic Site
- the management of the City of Kingston Civic Artifact Collection
- community cultural heritage education
- programming and support for the cultural heritage sector (including cultural tourism)
The Kingston Heritage Programs Committee provides advisory and consultative support to City-led cultural heritage initiatives. The Committee is also involved in educating and informing the community about matters related to Kingston’s cultural heritage.
