Free skates and swims

Your business as a skate / swim sponsor will be promoted on digital screens, the outdoor digital road sign, the website calendar, email newsletter communications, and social media posts.

Physician recruitment

Supporting Kingston businesses in talent recruitment is an important City priority to ensure community prosperity. The access to family physicians is a frequently mentioned barrier for new and existing residents and will only worsen as baby boomers retire from the workforce over the next 5 years. The City created the Kingston Family Physician Recruitment Program to support our healthcare partners in the attraction of family physicians. To remain competitive, we need the business community to support our work and be a catalyst for accessible healthcare in Kingston!

Sponsors can support the City’s efforts to recruit and retain family physicians and so make a lasting impact on our community's health. As a sponsor, you will benefit from heightened brand visibility, positive community recognition, and the satisfaction of attracting talented physicians to our city. Showcase your commitment to improving healthcare access and quality of life while promoting your business to key target audiences. Together, we can build a thriving medical community and provide exceptional care.

Kingston Community Climate Action Fund

The Kingston Community Climate Action Fund (KCCAF) is a community initiative managed by the City of Kingston. As a sponsor of KCCAF, you are able to take advantage of targeted promotion for your business through City facilities and channels, as well as align your brand to support climate action.  Special thanks to our Official EV Partner James Braden Auto Group and Official HVAC Partner Tozer Heating & Air.

Community Gardens

Part of the focus of the City of Kingston is ensuring that all residents have access to fresh food. That is why we partner with local organizations to host a number of Community Harvest Gardens in Kingston parks and at recreation centres. We also engage with eaters by designing days that community members can help in the gardens with hands-on work; we make efforts to create no cost and low-cost food access to make healthy, fresh food accessible to food insecure households.

Thanks to our Kingston East Community Centre garden sponsor Mike Lee Desjardins Insurance, and Hartington Equipment as the sponsors of Shannon Park, Oak St. and Lakeside community gardens.

Pride Crosswalk

The City of Kingston is seeking sponsors to support the installation of a permanent Pride crosswalk, an impactful symbol of inclusion and acceptance.

Pride crosswalks serve as powerful symbols showing support for the 2SLGBTQIA* community. They exist in many communities as a way to promote inclusion, diversity and equity and to foster a sense of belonging. The City of Kingston has painted temporary Pride crosswalks along Ontario Street since 2018 and is currently working with the community to identify the location for and design of a permanent Pride crosswalk. This project provides a unique opportunity for organizations to demonstrate their commitment to inclusion, diversity and equity by sponsoring the materials and labour needed to create a permanent Pride crosswalk.  Sponsorships received will be recognized in multiple ways, including signage to be installed adjacent to the Pride crosswalk once completed.

Benches

City benches offer excellent and affordable sponsorship opportunities!   Consider how appreciative consumers will be to see a bench provided by your business when they need a comfortable place to take a break.  In return for supporting the installation and maintenance of a City bench, your business will receive recognition with a prominent plaque on the bench as well as recognition on the City of Kingston’s website.  Bench sponsorships are available for a 5-year term.

The Municipal Fee Assistance Program (MFAP) offers access to a wide range of City programs to help residents who live in lower-income households get around Kingston to lead active and healthy lives. As a supporting sponsor, you will champion MFAP members to access recreation and cultural programming, responsible pet ownership, affordable transit and the low-income health benefit program.
