About the Project

Content - City Hall - Projects - PumpHouse Chimney

The PumpHouse has been ranked as one of the best remaining examples of industrial heritage in Kingston. In Feb. 2018, scaffolding was erected on the exterior of the PumpHouse chimney in order to complete a condition assessment. The assessment of the facility's historic chimney is a necessary step in ensuring the preservation of this important piece of Kingston's built and cultural heritage.

This work will be undertaken by Roney Engineering, Santin Masonry and Art Engineering in consultation with the City's Cultural Services and Facilities, Maintenance and Construction Services departments.
