About the Project

Untitled Basic Web Content

Kingston’s transportation network is changing. We’re designing and building projects that improve our roads, prioritize safety for pedestrians and cyclists, and give people more options to get around the city.

The City is building a new multi-use pathway on the north side of Henderson Blvd. This project is included in the City’s Active Transportation Implementation Plan (Route 6) and it will create a desired east-west connection between existing cycling infrastructure on Bayridge and Days.

The project will install a 3m-wide asphalt pathway that can be used by pedestrians and cyclists alike.

Once completed, the pathway will provide improved access to:

  • Jim Beattie Park
  • Lakeshore Swimming Pool Association
  • James R. Henderson Public School
  • Henderson Child Care Centre
  • Great Lakes Waterfront trail

Construction

Construction will begin July 5, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed in October 2021.
