Over the past several months, staff has been working alongside Dillon Consulting Limited on a planning framework for the Reddendale neighbourhood. The work involves the preparation of area-specific urban design guidelines and recommendations for appropriate zoning criteria for Reddendale to ensure that new development is compatible with the physical character of established residential development. This work was proposed as an expanded scope of work within the Zoning Bylaw Update project (Report Number 18-041).

Staff met with the Reddendale community working group members several times over the summer to refine the urban design and zoning recommendations and is now seeking input from residents.

Join us for an open house on Tuesday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Centre 70 (100 Days Rd.) to learn more and provide your feedback. The open house will include a presentation at 6:10 p.m. providing an overview of the draft urban design and zoning ideas followed by an interactive discussion with the residents.

Based on the feedback received, staff will revise the draft urban design and zoning ideas as appropriate, and proceed with amendments to Zoning Bylaw Number 76-26 to implement the recommendations. The intent is to carry forward the amendments into the new City-wide Zoning Bylaw.
