At the Sept. 20 planning committee meeting, staff presented a draft approach for adding an open house to the public consultation process for complex Planning Act applications. This is intended to complement and enhance the level of public participation in the planning process.

There has been a great deal of interest in the planning process over the last few years and the planning team is looking at ways to enhance the process by providing the public with meaningful opportunities to offer input on Planning Act applications.

The input received will be used to develop recommendations which will be presented at a future planning committee meeting.
